National Junior Honor Society at Chaminade College Preparatory Conducts Bake Sale to Raise Money for Mesothelioma Research
April 19, 2013
Dear Clare Cameron,
This is Akshaya Venkatesh, a 7th Grader at Chaminade College Preparatory in Chatsworth, California. I am part of the National Junior Honor Society in my school. As part of the program, we have to organize bake sales and give the proceeds to a non-profit organization.
On April 19, 2013, our National Junior Honor society conducted a bake sale and sold a variety of goods including cake pops, cupcakes, pink lemonade, candy, cookies etc. Altogether, we raised a total of $100.00 towards the Pacific Meso Center. Please find enclosed the check for the money that we raised.
We chose the Pacific Meso Center because all of us want to see a cure for cancer within our lifetime. We all know someone who has died of cancer, and would like to see a cure for at least one type of cancer. We want the amount to be donated to your organization that is working for the good cause.
Sincerely Yours,
Akshaya Venkatesh, Thomas Martin, Aisha Gupta, Christine Gotthard, Kaylee Nguyen
