Naming Opportunities

The PMC has some exciting research opportunities in the pipeline. We are anxious to push ahead NOW! Therefore we are asking for your help. Wonderful opportunities now exist, which we owe to past mesothelioma victims, current mesothelioma sufferers and mesothelioma patients of the future, to support in order to provide for a brighter future for all.

1. Research Projects/Positions. Each of our research projects requires a minimum funding of $500,000 (over 3 years). Contribution of funding enough for an entire project or position (or more) can, in some instances, be accompanied by naming considerations. For example, a research fellowship can be established in the memory of a mesothelioma victim or in the name of a supporting law firm. “The John Doe Fellow in Mesothelioma Research” is one example. The name would be recognized and reflected in all publications and The PMC materials, references to the fellowship, in press releases, etc. Please call Clare Cameron of The PMC at (310) 478-4678 for more information.

2. Research Laboratories. Our laboratory at 10780 Santa Monica Boulevard, Suite 102, right next to The PMC’s main offices, consists of approximately 1000 square feet of development laboratory space. Each of our research laboratories includes projected costs of staff, equipment, disposables, and associated costs amortized over 5 years.

Research laboratories require a minimum funding of $1.5 million initially and a commitment for $500,000 annually thereafter for at least 5 years (total $4 million). Contribution of funding for a full laboratory (or more) can, in some instances, be accompanied by naming considerations. For example, a research laboratory can be established in the memory of a mesothelioma victim or in the name of a supporting law firm. “The John Doe Research Laboratory in Mesothelioma Research” is one example. The name would be recognized and reflected in all publications and The PMC materials, references to the laboratory, associated personnel, and press releases.
