Marko N. Kostic

Marko Kostic received the B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering degree (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of Mississippi in 2000. After graduation, Marko worked in industry for eight years. During that time, he designed and tested various ultra low-power wireless cardiac devices for surface and intracardiac signal acquisition. Marko and his team were first ever to transmit live ECG data from open cockpit vehicles during a race. Additionally, Marko was a part of a team that developed the first wireless ECG-Intracardiac system for use during electrophysiological procedures. While in industry, Marko also provided engineering support for three clinical studies at Duke University and Cleveland Clinic. More recently, Marko was a Scientific Advisor to Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC) - United States Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC).

Marko completed the M.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles, in 2009. Currently, he is working on his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at UCLA developing novel near infrared spectroscopy system under the guidance of Professor Warren S. Grundfest, M.D., FACS.
